For the second year in a row, The Neighborhood is excited to partner with Brooklyn Children’s Museum to bring you a full day of fun and family-friendly Tu Bishvat programming. Tu Bishvat is the Jewish calendar’s birthday of the trees. There are so many ways to celebrate trees, fruit, and the earth. Come explore the nature-inspired activities that will help us experience this holiday!
DANCE LIKE A TREE: Multi-instrumentalist Éléonore Weill and ritualist educator Sarah Chandler will lead music and movement for each of us to embody the trees of Brooklyn. Have you ever done the sycamore peel or the linden hop? Let’s celebrate the Jewish new year of the trees as we dance like a ginkgo, sway like a fir, and swish like a locust. Find us in the Brooklyn Voices Exhibit at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
