In this three-week mini-course, you will learn skills for remembering and recording your dreams. These practices will support you in reaching a flow state, whether you are writing, practicing, or imagining a new project. If you want to overcome resistance to creating new works, build stronger habits, and conquer self-doubt, this course will provide structure, exercises, and community to achieve the next stage of your art.
Note: This course, focused on personal creativity, is designed to be a supplement (and not a substitute) to each student’s therapeutic practices. We believe that both therapy and dream chiseling will support you to access personal truths and offer healing, with the healing offered by creative practice able to heal more than just the one who is dreaming.
The techniques of Dream Chiseling were developed to address each artists’ unique processes. In each of our three sessions, participants will learn highly practical and profoundly spiritual exercises to help you trust yourself and enable you to allow new ideas to flow across your mind’s eye. Whether you are longing to create without self-judgment, finally write that grant application, or just get into the flow on a more regular basis, dream chiseling will provide you the tools and practices to reach your goals.
Note: Dream Chiseling Aleph (101) will prepare participants for Dream Chiseling Bet (102). In Bet, we will gather in a ‘dream circle’ where we will “open” the dreams together, to bring insight and understanding.
Tuition is on a sliding scale, $72-180 covers three sessions.
